Capital Markets & Financial Regulatory Lawyer (1+ PQE)

Our client, a leading boutique law firm in Budapest, is seeking a lawyer to join its growing Banking & Finance practice, with a primary focus on capital markets and financial regulatory matters.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile mandates, supporting a diverse client base including financial institutions, corporates, and investors. You will collaborate closely with experienced practitioners in a dynamic and international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on capital markets transactions, including debt and equity matters 

  • Supporting clients on financial regulatory and compliance issues 

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation 

  • Assisting with transaction execution and regulatory filings 

  • Working closely with senior lawyers on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters 

Candidate Profile

  • Hungarian qualified lawyer with minimum 1 year PQE (applications welcome from more senior candidates) 

  • Relevant experience in capital markets and financial regulatory 

  • Experience gained at an international law firm or similarly high-calibre environment 

  • Strong interest in financial markets and regulatory developments 

  • Fluency in Hungarian and English (written and spoken) 

  • Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills 

  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team
